Chilled pork imports to Russia were 6 times higher in 2015

The import of chilled pork in Russia was 6 times higher in 2015 than it was in 2014, according EMEAT (Russian Analytical Agency).

The import of chilled pork in Russia was 6 times higher in 2015 than it was in 2014, according EMEAT (Russian Analytical Agency). Ukraine became a main supplier. The share of the country is 99.5 percent of the total import of chilled pork.

Import of frozen pork to Russia decreased by 19.4 percent to 292.7 thousand tons. The main importers are Brazil and Chile, which account for 89.5 percent of imports of frozen pork. Import of pork by-products decreased by 32.3 percent to 9.2 thousand tons of pork bacon.
