Maagir Farm Corporation, Pas Reform’s local representative in the Philippines, is investing in substantial expansion to support its customers in the country’s growing agribusiness sector.

Thirteen new members of staff have been appointed to expand the Maagir team, bringing additional resources to functions across the company, from accounting and administration support to warehousing and logistics. The company’s technical support team with six new appointments provides technical back-up for customers throughout the country.

The investment includes the acquisition of a new 1,300m² contract warehouse to house equipment and building materials.

Despite the devastation caused by Typhoon Koppu last Fall, Maagir’s President Victor Velonza says the country’s poultry sector has continued to grow, with chicken and egg production up by almost nine and 10 percent respectively.

“Maagir is committed to supporting our customers across Southeast Asia”, says Velonza. “Their strength and resilience is driving continued growth for the poultry sector, and we are equally determined to deliver innovative products and services of the highest quality, to equip them for the future.”

Bas Kanters, Pas Reform’s sales director for the region, who works closely with Maagir Farm Corporation, says, “Supporting innovation and growth in the Philippines’ poultry sector is fundamental to Maagir Farm Corporation’s relationships with its customers. We wish Victor and his fast-growing team great success, as they embark on ambitious plans for 2016 and beyond.”
