Vietnam: Increase in animal feed imports

Statistics released at the end of August by Vietnam’s General Statistics Office shows the country spent more than $1.3 billion on animal feed imports from January through August, a 70 percent increase over last year.

Statistics released at the end of August by Vietnam’s General Statistics Office shows the country spent more than $1.3 billion on animal feed imports from January through August, a 70 percent increase over last year. The bulk of imports came from corn and soybeans arriving from India, Argentina, the United States, Indonesia, Thailand and China, with an additional major product being distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) imported entirely from the United States.
