The Midwest Poultry Federation (MPF) Convetnion is moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2018. The event has been held in Saint Paul, Minnesota, since 1988.

Events will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center, which will allow MPF to consolidate most of its exhibit space into one large hall. Minneapolis also offers the opportunity to contract for additional hotel rooms within three main hotels, along with more overflow hotel options, all within a few blocks of the convention center.

“The MPF Convention has seen steady growth over the past decade and the time was right for a move to the Minneapolis Convention Center,” said MPF Executive Director Steve Olson. “This year, we expanded into three exhibit halls and attendance increased a whopping 56 percent. Minneapolis will offer us more flexibility for our exhibiting companies and will help us consolidate our largest hotel blocks into three main hotels.”

MPF signed a five-year contract with Minneapolis, so the convention will be hosted at the convention center 2018- 2022.

Dates are as follows:

  • March 13-15, 2018
  • March 12-14, 2019
  • March 17-19, 2020
  • March 23-25, 2021
  • March 22-24, 2022

The 2017 convention will celebrate its 20th and final year in Saint Paul, which Olson said has been an outstanding venue for MPF since 1998.

“Saint Paul is like family to us, and we truly will miss being part of that community,” said Olson. “We couldn’t have asked for a better location to grow with us over the past two decades, and we thank everyone in the Saint Paul hospitality community for everything they’ve done to make the MPF Convention so successful.”
