GEA Farm Technologies expands with acquisition
German group buys DB Wilaard Holding B.V.
Slurry handling systems and milking machinery group GEA Farm Technologies from Germany has expanded its barn equipment segment in Europe and in Russia by buying DB Wilaard Holding B.V. of the Netherlands.
The acquisition includes Wilaard subsidiaries or brands including Brouwers for livestock watering systems and Wilarus for Russia and surrounding countries.
GEA Farm Technologies is a member of GEA Group, one of the largest specialty mechanical engineering groups in Germany with revenues of 5.2 billion Euros in fiscal year 2008. GEA Group has a workforce of over 21,000 employees serving customers in 50 countries.
