Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) is committed to providing responsible leadership and governance excellence for the chicken industry in Ontario. A key element of this commitment is a recognition of the importance of building inclusiveness and gender diversity into all aspects of its governance model. The CFO governance structure consists of an elected Board of Directors as well as a Committee of Provincial District Representatives (DCRs) that provides advice and input to the Board. Together these representatives from across the province help ensure that CFO provides effective responsible leadership to a growing profitable chicken industry in Ontario.

The CFO Board is taking action within the chicken farming community through new and innovative gender diversity initiatives. The recently launched CFO Women in Leadership campaign aims to recognize the importance of gender diversity in the chicken business and encourages engagement in the responsible leadership and governance of CFO.

“Encouraging diversity as an active element of the CFO good governance process is paramount to our success going forward,” said Henry Zantingh, Chair of Chicken Farmers of Ontario. “Our governance team needs to be reflective of the diverse communities in which we serve.”

“We recognize the importance of having gender diverse representation at all levels of corporate governance,” said Rob Dougans, President and CEO, Chicken Farmers of Ontario. “The Board is focused on the future and continually committed to new and robust solutions towards achieving excellence and driving our industry forward.”
