A recent salmonella outbreak in Finnish pig and poultry farms has been linked to feed producer Raisio Feed, according to a story at www.pigprogress.net.
Raisio Feed has not been alleged of negligence, the company said, and soybeans used as raw material on the premises were not found to be contaminated.
According to the story, salmonella was found in nine farms.
Raisio said it supports increased control of imported raw materials.
Consumers have not been endangered by this salmonella outbreak, according to the story.
