Members of the U.K. and European poultry industry raised more than GBP60,000 (US$78,090) for the Honeypot Children’s Charity with the recently held Tour de Ross bike ride.

Industry representatives from Aviagen U.K., Cargill Meats Europe, Devenish Nutrition, Corbett Farms, Moy Park and Faccenda Foods recently delivered a check to the Honeypot House in New Forest.

Honeypot Children’s Charity, according to its website, offers both respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children, many of whom would otherwise have nowhere to turn. The organization states that it is the only charity in the U.K. offering consistent support throughout childhood; from the age of 5 until a child’s 12th birthday.
