Listeria worries prompt Canada turkey, chicken recall
One illness has been reported in association with poultry products sold at Tre Rose Bakery
Tre Rose Bakery is recalling sliced turkey and chicken products from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) reported.
Two sliced turkey products and one sliced chicken product are being recalled from Tre Rose Bakery’s location at 2098 Kipling Avenue in Toronto. They were sliced and sold on September 15-16.
According to CFIA, there has been one reported illness linked to the recalled meats. CFIA is continuing to conduct a food safety investigation, and stated that as the investigation progresses, more products could be subjected to recall.
