It's World Egg Month in Ontario

October is World Egg Month in Ontario and Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is encouraging consumers to celebrate eggs by enjoying the versatile Frittata.

October is World Egg Month in Ontario, and Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is celebrating by promoting the versatile Frittata. To honor the occasion, EFO is offering consumers Frittatas 101, an easy how-to guide.

Frittatas are like a crustless quiche, and EFO says they are a healthy, easy-to-make, tasty meal that can be prepared in a variety of ways.

"Making frittatas for breakfast, lunch or dinner is a great way to use up leftovers [or any ingredients you have on hand] while making quick, healthy meals your family will enjoy," said Carol Harrison, Registered Dietitian. "Once you master the technique, you can try a variety of fillings to customize for your family."
