Mistica Foods, Kellogg combine chicken and Cheez-Its

Companies partner to launch new chicken products that features breading made with popular snack crackers

Mistica Foods and the Kellogg Company have partnered to launch a new product: ready-to-cook chicken breast bites breaded with Cheez-It crackers.

The new product is already available in Walmart stores across the United States and the chicken product will be sold at other national retailers this winter.

“We are very pleased to partner with Mistica Foods and be the first to offer a cracker-breaded chicken product to the marketplace” Wendy Davidson, president, U.S. Specialty Channel, Kellogg Company stated. “This new product introduction represents an opportunity to expand one of the most beloved brands to a new consumer category.”

Using crushed chips and crackers has been an on-trend cooking technique used for many years but until now never fully commercialized. As one of America’s most popular brands, Cheez-It snack crackers are enjoyed daily by consumers across the United States.

“Mistica Foods is both excited and proud to be able to partner with the Kellogg Company and offer an unique Cheez-It original cracker breaded, ready-to-cook chicken breast bite with a distinctive taste and amazing flavor,” Monika Rose Walas, Mistica Foods president, said in a press release.

Headquartered in Addison, Illinois, Mistica Foods serves national and international customers and offers products under the Mistica Ranch Meats brand name.
