Thirty-five students from 20 countries recently graduated from Aviagen’s fifth Breeder Module held in Edinburgh as part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Production Management School.

The School offered students a highly interactive program and was led by a team of Aviagen and external specialists. The one-week Module focused on key areas of breeder management, including ventilation, flock health, nutrition, data analysis, rearing and laying management.

Linda Morgan, technical manager broilers and breeders for Western Brand, Eire, said, “The Breeder Module was fascinating and was delivered by a team of highly accomplished tutors from across the industry. The School provided the perfect opportunity for us to bolster our understanding of our own sector. After spending a week with my fellow students, the main learning point for me was to think outside the box, no matter what size the box is.”

Graeme Dear, general manager Aviagen UK Limited, stated, “Our Schools offer the perfect environment for us to communicate poultry management updates in a succinct and exciting way. Learning is key, and we recognize the importance of giving students the chance to share their insights and experience with industry colleagues from different parts of the world.”
