Beta testing for a video analytic and monitoring system that ensures food production in North America meets humane animal welfare standards has been successful, reports HS3 Technologies Inc., a video surveillance and security company.

The testing was conducted over several months in 14 production and transportation facilities including GCB Foods and Delimax. HS3's technology monitors conditions such as temperature, air flow, feeding schedules, personnel entrances/exits and animal mobility.

Part of the American Humane Association's farm animal welfare program, American Humane Certified, the technology further assures consumers that animal producers and processing facilities are raising and handling their animals humanely, the company states.
