Three semen supply centers delivering 312,000 doses annually for pig AI and a multiplication providing some 25,200 France Hybrides breeding gilts per year are among the resources of newly formed French enterprise Porc Armor Développement in northwestern France.

The enterprise formed from the mid-2008 merging of regional producer groups Porc Ouest and L'Armorique and also combines the technical, commercial, and administrative activities of porcine genetics house France Gènes and feed manufacturing bases Sanders Bretagne and Sanders Ouest.

Teams of specialists will focus on genetics, nutrition, animal health, housing/environment, and projects for new or rebuilt pig units.

Porc Armor Développement represents 770 pig producers in western parts of France. Its related feed facilities produce 430,000 metric tons per year.
