Members of Pewaris gathered in front of the Bandar Baru Bangi Stadium near Kuala Lumpur on December 29, 2008, to hand over a memorandum seeking assistance from PAS in resolving the problems regarding the pig-farming project in Masjid Tanah, Malacca.

Approximately 300 members of Majlis Permuafakatan Ummah (Pewaris) gathered in front of the Bandar Baru Bangi Stadium near Kuala Lumpur on December 29, 2008, to hand over a memorandum seeking assistance from PAS, the Islamic Party of Malaysia, in resolving the problems regarding the pig-farming project in Masjid Tanah, Malacca.

Minor commotion resulted when Pewaris members were prevented from entering a talk on abolishing the Internal Security Act organized by PAS, according to Malaysia's leading English-language newspaper, The Star Online.

After reaching a negotiation, PAS organizers allowed five Pewaris members to enter the stadium and Pewaris deputy chairman Rahimuddin Md Harun handed the memorandum to PAS vice-president Mohamad Sabu.
