Poland reports 12.2 percent increase in purchase price

Poland’s Central Statistics Office reports that the average purchase price of pigs for slaughter in Poland in the first eight months of this year was 12.2 percent higher than in the same period in 2007.

Pig purchases in Poland in the January to August period this year were 9.6 percent lower year-on-year.
