During the Christmas season, House of Raeford Farms makes a special effort to ensure that its neighbors are taken care of.

Through its Wallace and Rose Hill, North Carolina, locations, funds were distributed to Rose Hill-Magnolia Elementary School to support their Angel Tree. The company also participated in an Angel Tree with Sarah’s Refuge.  Their Angel Tree had 70 children this year, and 26 clients who were identified as being in need.  House of Raeford Farms donated funds to help meet the needs and wishes of those children and clients.

The House of Raeford team in Greenville, South Carolina, hosted an Angel Tree, sponsoring 15 foster care children and families through their partnership with Miracle Hill Ministries. Employees provided these children, from newborns to 10-years-old, with items from their wish list, making sure that their Christmas morning is filled with joy and excitement.

At the Nash Johnson location in Rose Hill, North Carolina, employees participated in a food drive during their annual Christmas Party, with all food being donated to the Rose Hill United Methodist Church food pantry.

At House of Raeford’s location in Arcadia, Louisiana, the team is busy supporting a number of local fundraisers. Employees will be helping the CASA Organization this year by filling stockings for the 65 CASA children within the local parishes. House of Raeford is are also assisting the local Council on Aging by making care packages and/or donations for the home bound seniors. “Santa for Seniors” care packages will include items such as puzzle books, lotions, slippers and many other items. These gifts are especially meaningful for those seniors within the community who aren’t able to see family over the holidays. This team is also supplying chickens to assist the Arcadia Lions Club Spirit of Christmas Food Basket, which helps feed about 150 needy and underprivileged families within the community. Finally, the basketball team is participating in a “Toys for Tots” program that is sponsored by Brookshire’s and CASA.

House of Raeford’s Filet of Chicken team in Georgia is participating in the Grady Social Services’ Food and Toy Drive for the sixth year. Employees will donate food, clothing, and toys to help more than 200 families to have a merrier Christmas. In addition to the items donated by the employees, the company donates $500 in non-perishable food items. House of Raeford will also donate 400 turkeys to five local food banks and hot meal programs.

This year, employees at Filet of Chicken in Mocksville, North Carolina, are spending the holidays giving back to neighbors who have been hard hit by the fires in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Members of the Mocksville team will be driving two 40-foot. trailers, stocked with supplies, to Tennessee. Everything from food and water to blankets and clothing will be delivered to those in need.
