Zoetis joins GlobalVetLINK’s VFD System

GlobalVetLINK (GVL) and Zoetis recently announced a partnership for GVL’s web-based Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) System, FeedLINK.

GlobalVetLINK (GVL) and Zoetis recently announced a partnership for GVL’s web-based Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) System, FeedLINK.

In preparation for the final VFD implementation on Jan. 1, Zoetis joins GVL to ensure that all label information and instructions for Zoetis products requiring a VFD will be accurate and complete in GVL’s FeedLINK system.

“This is another way we at Zoetis are supporting our livestock customers in their responsible use of antibiotics,” said Kristin Peck, Executive Vice President and President, U.S. Operations at Zoetis. “We know producers and veterinarians are working diligently to comply with the new VFD regulations by the end of this year, and FeedLINK can help them ensure they use antibiotics responsibly to treat disease and improve the health of their animals.”

FeedLINK web-based VFD system provides a tool for veterinarians, feed distributors and clients/producers to manage VFDs, while enabling compliance with the Veterinary Feed Directive. FeedLINK’s digital signature technology and secure cloud-based storage method are 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.

“Working one-on-one with animal health companies like Zoetis, versus a compendium approach, helps ensure that drug label information in GVL’s FeedLINK VFD solution is complete and accurate,” said Cliff Smith, GlobalVetLINK Chief Executive Officer. “For over 10 years, GlobalVetLINK has been providing the animal protein market with a digital compliance solution for VFDs that not only offers the veterinarian, feed distributor and producer a simple-to-use system, but also a system that is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant for digital signatures and electronic data storage.”

Zoetis is the most recent animal health company to collaborate with GlobalVetLINK for VFDs, joining several others.
