Integrated poultry and pork company DaChan Food (Asia) Limited in Beijing, China, saw a 4 percent fall in net profit to US$16.1 million in the first six months of 2008 despite growing turnover by 63 percent to US$639 million. Turnover for its feed division was up by 126 percent to US$291 million after opening new mills in China and Vietnam.
