George's names Brian Coan chief customer officer

George’s Inc. recently announced that Brian Coan has joined the George’s team in the newly created role of chief customer officer.

George’s Inc., one of the nation’s largest privately held poultry companies, recently announced that Brian Coan has joined the George’s team in the newly created role of chief customer officer. While leading the areas of sales, marketing, product development and customer service, Coan will be focused on executing an aggressive growth strategy to offer highly effective resources and execution to the company’s valued customers.

Equipped with a wealth of industry experience, Coan most recently served as vice president of enterprise supply chain and strategic sourcing at Buffalo Wild Wings, where he was responsible for all aspects of enterprise development including purchasing, distribution, supplier relationships, real estate and design. Prior, he held multiple senior purchasing positions with Chick-fil-A after starting his career with Cagle’s, Inc. He also held areas of increasing responsibility for Columbia Farms and Goldkist, Inc.

Coan received his bachelor’s degree in management from the University of South Carolina and later completed his master’s degree at the University of Georgia. He has completed several continuing education courses in agribusiness and executive development at Harvard and Columbia, respectively.
