Michael Quint becomes West Liberty Foods president

West Liberty Foods has made several changes to its executive management team, including promoting Michael Quint to president of the company.

West Liberty Foods has made several changes to its executive management team, including promoting Michael Quint to president of the company.

Ed Garrett will turn over the president’s duties to Quint, who was previously West Liberty Foods’ vice president and chief customer officer. Garrett, however, will continue in his role as chief executive officer.

Other appointments announced by West Liberty Foods include:

  • Allen Hansen has been promoted to vice president of finance and chief financial officer
  • K. Joseph Swanson has been promoted to vice president of operations
  • Branden Achen has been promoted to vice president of supply chain
  • Scot Cole will join the company as chief customer officer
  • Dominik Teyke will join the company as vice president of research and development

Michael Quint

Quint joined West Liberty Foods in April 2006 as vice president and chief customer officer, leading the sales, marketing and research & development departments. During his time with the company, he has successfully led the team in diversifying customer base and product lines. In addition, he has provided strategic visioning and overall leadership in expanding the research and development team and building West Libert Foods’ brand strength. He has more than 30 years of experience in the meat industry.

Allen Hansen

Hansen’s career with West Liberty Foods began in 2002. Since joining the company he has been integral to the company’s continued success and the growth of the finance department. He has held roles such as executive director of finance, corporate controller and controller.

K. Joseph Swanson

Swanson brings a diverse background to his position and has been with the company since its inception. He has a depth of experience in quality assurance, operations, continuous improvement, finance and human resources.

Brandon Achen

Achen began his employment with West Liberty Foods in 2008 and has been credited with outstanding leadership by advancing new ideas and directly facing supply chain challenges. His previous roles within the company include industrial engineer and management roles in the scheduling, purchasing and supply chain departments.

Scott Cole

Cole offers more than 25 years of experience in sales and strategic leadership. Formerly with the Hershey organization, he can be credited with portfolio diversification, business growth and proven sales results.

Dominik Teyke

Teyke will join West Liberty Foods. He has been involved with protein and product research for more than 28 years. He spent the last decade at Boar’s Head, leading the culinary, project management, applied science and product development departments.
