Registration is now open for the 2017 Chicken Marketing Summit, WATT Global Media and the National Chicken Council announced. The annual executive conference will take place on July 16-18, 2017, at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina.

Early Bird registration is available now and provides attendees with the opportunity to save $200.

Plans are being finalized for the 2017 Chicken Marketing Summit, and it’s anticipated even more top poultry companies, retail and foodservice organizations and distributors will attend after the 2016 executive conference saw a 250 percent increase in attendance over the previous year’s event.

Companies attending the 2016 Chicken Marketing Summit included representatives from Ahold Delhaize, Boston Market Corp, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A, Maple Leaf Farms, Perdue Farms, Sanderson Farms, Simmons Foods, Sysco, Tyson, Wayne Farms, Zaxby’s and many more.

Event organizers are currently creating a lineup of chicken industry professionals that will share insights and consumer trend data and information that will continue to drive consumer buying behavior for poultry products in retail, grocery and foodservice establishments. Educational sessions will provide an in-depth look at the issues and trends in food marketing, consumer chicken consumption patterns, purchasing behavior and more. Specific session details are expected to be released in March.

In addition to providing consumer and industry insight about trending topics facing chicken marketing today, the Chicken Marketing Summit is also preparing to host networking events that will take full advantage of the scenic setting in and around Asheville and at the historic Omni Grove Park Inn, while still providing an ideal environment for attendees to engage with poultry colleagues and industry stakeholders in attendance. The event will close with the traditional golf tournament, which will be hosted on the award-winning Donald Ross designed championship golf course.

“Our partnership with the National Chicken Council plus the rebranding of this annual event proved to be extremely successful in 2016, and the plans in place for the 2017 event are certain to keep the positive momentum going,” said Greg Watt, President and CEO of WATT Global Media. “With feedback from last year’s event in mind, we have created an agenda that will provide attendees with similar rich and valuable educational and networking opportunities, but enhanced to ensure the experience is as successful as possible for all who attend.”
