Valdosta State University students and staff are getting an inside look at the poultry industry as they participate in the 2017 Sanderson Farms Super Chicken Road Show March 30-31.
Delois Hargett, employer relations coordinator in the Office of Career Opportunities, Carla Gervin, career strategies coordinator in the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration’s Career Strategies Center, and 28 students have the opportunity to see every step of the entire Sanderson Farms operation, from hatchery to processing and packaging. Sanderson Farms representatives are sharing their industry knowledge with students pursuing internships and full-time employment in the poultry industry. One highlight of the event is a tour of the Moultrie production and processing facilities.
