After being held in Atlanta for many years, USPOULTRY’s Poultry Processor Workshop is moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C., for 2017. The Workshop will be held May 18-19 at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. Industry professionals in all capacities related to plant operations, food safety, quality assurance, maintenance and management will learn and benefit from this year’s event.

“We are excited about this year’s program. In addition to a new location, the program will take a new look at technologies being incorporated in plants across the industry, current regulatory concerns, techniques for managing product quality issues, employee recruiting and retention, and much more. All involved in poultry processing will benefit greatly,” said Scott Stillwell, senior vice president of food safety and quality assurance, Tyson Foods Inc., and Workshop committee chairman.

The agenda was developed by a program committee of plant managers and food safety and quality assurance professionals. The committee included: Dr. Doug Britton, Georgia Tech Research Institute; Dylan Broom, Ingram Farms; Rosa Cordero, Perdue Farms Inc.; Juan DeVillena, Wayne Farms LLC; Dr. Gretchen Hill, Perdue Farms Inc.; Greg Puckett, Tip Top Poultry Inc.; Scott Stillwell (committee chairman), Tyson Foods Inc.; Dr. Harsha Thippareddi, University of Georgia; John Weeks, Mar-Jac Poultry Inc.; and John Wright, Fieldale Farms Corporation.

With the new location and exciting program, the Workshop is expected to fill up fast. To view the full agenda and to register for the Poultry Processor Workshop, click here or visit www.uspoultry.org.
