Braswell Family Farms welcomes John Watson

Veteran consumer products executive John C. Watson III has joined Braswell Family Farms as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

“John brings an established reputation as an approachable visionary and as a change driver who helps companies to next-level performance,” said Trey Braswell, President of Braswell Family Farms. “John understands our mission and core values and will be a leader as we develop and manage the Braswell Family brand, manage our supply chain, and work to deliver superior value and quality in our marketplace.”

Watson’s experience includes more than 12 years top-level management service, including work at the senior vice president, vice president and director levels in the sales and business divisions of House Autry Mills, Marietta Corporation, Burt’s Bees/Clorox, Phoenix Brands, and Matrix PPD—L’Oreal America.

“Our focus is premium and specialty eggs for the private label and military markets,” Watson said. “We will leverage our 20-plus years of organic, non-GMO, and specialty expertise to meet the growing demand for higher quality feed and eggs throughout the mid-Atlantic and Southeast.”

Watson earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida and has completed specialty sales, negotiations and other training programs offered by the American Management Association, Unilever, Acclivus, Cheesebrough Ponds, and Playtex.

Braswell Family Farms is a fourth-generation family owned producer of premium and specialty feed and eggs based in Nashville, N.C. In addition to producing for private label retailers, Braswell is a major producer for Eggland's Best, which is available at retail outlets and select military bases from New York through Florida. Founded in 1943, the company celebrates its 75th anniversary next year.
