Adisseo grows poultry team

Adam Burnsed and Dr. Alissa Welsher have joined Adisseo.

Adam Burnsed has joined Adisseo as Rovabio Product Manager for North and Central America. He will work with the poultry sales and technical team to further develop the company’s enzyme product line and provide added value to customers through support services and education.

Dr. Alissa Welsher has joined Adisseo as a Poultry Technical Manager. In addition to providing technical support on key accounts, she will also serve as the technical lead for Adisseo’s probiotic, Alterion, and selenium product, Selisseo in North and Central America.

The addition of Burnsed and Welsher marks the beginning of the company’s planned expansion of the North and Central American poultry team during 2017.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida, Burnsed served as a Territory Sales Manager with Alltech for eight years. While there, he completed the Advanced Executive Management Program at the University College Dublin, Smurfit School of Business in Dublin, Ireland. Burnsed later demonstrated success in sales through his various roles at DSM, where he worked with vitamins, enzymes and other products.

Welsher earned her Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas, Master’s in Poultry Science from the University of Arkansas, and Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. As a part of her post-doctoral fellowship, Welsher completed a USDA-NIFA funded study on the Role of Autophagy in Heat Stress and Feed Efficiency in Poultry. She has authored or co-authored nearly a dozen peer-reviewed articles.
