Hendrix Genetics has appointed Jerry Moye as a new member of its International Advisory Board (IAB). He has a long career with Cobb-Vantress Inc. (part of Tyson Foods) and brings extensive knowledge of the worldwide animal protein value chains, particularly in the broiler breeding business.

Moye has been in the poultry industry for over 30 years. He has progressed from Director of Technical Services to General Manager, Vice President, a Senior Vice President, and then President of Cobb-Vantress. Before joining Cobb-Vantress, he spent 16 years in Integrated Chicken Production as a Live Production Manager for two large U.S. integrators. His management responsibilities included breeders, hatcheries, broilers, and feed mills. He has a degree in economics from Washington College in Maryland.

In 2008 Moye, as President of Cobb-Vantress, negotiated the acquisition of Hendrix Genetics’ broiler breeding activity Hybro by his company. After the transfer of Hybro, Cobb-Vantress and Hendrix Genetics established a Joint Development Agreement that is still in place today.

Thijs Hendrix, president of Hendrix Genetics, said, “We are very pleased that Jerry has accepted membership of our IAB. His experience and knowledge will help us achieve our challenging 2020 goals and prepare our company for the next plan period.”
