PJSC Cherkizovo Group, the largest vertically integrated meat and feed producer in Russia, recently announced that Trading Company Petelino has changed its name to Trading Company Cherkizovo.
The purpose of this project is to create a joint trading company with commercial and marketing functions, acting as an independent unit supporting sales for all segments of the Cherkizovo Group. This will allow the company to focus on the market, common segments of distribution channels, combined logistics and the development of a unified sales system.
In 2016, Cherkizovo Group completed an important project to implement the SAP ERP system on the HANA platform at Trading Company Petelino. This solution has allowed the Group to rationalize business processes and increase the efficiency of the Trading Company. The system provides precise, real-time information and automates the process of communication with federal retail networks. The requests of each consumer in the supply chain are taken into account.
The system also provides access to a new set of analytical tools designed to keep sales and marketing information up to date. The project, unique in its scope for the entire Russian manufacturing industry, has become the basis for the creation of a combined corporate sales system.
In the future, Trading Company Cherkizovo will be joined by other departments of the Group, with the St. Petersburg branch of Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plants due to be the first to join the system.
