Maple Lodge Farms is recalling certain chicken frankfurters because of the possible presence of bone fragments that could be unsafe, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced.

Recalled were 450 gram packages of Maple Lodge Farms Big Original Chicken Frankfurters and Zabiha Halal Big Original Chicken Frankfurters. Both products contained the code 2017 AU 27 on the labels.

To date, there has been one injury related to the consumption of a recalled product.

The products were distributed nationally through Canada. CFIA urges consumers who have purchased either product to dispose of them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
