Cobb-Vantress held a series of seminars to introduce the new Cobb MV male to Indonesia, one of Asia’s key markets, with a current estimated placement of over 25 million parent stock per year.

The seminars were organized by Cobb’s distributors in the Island nation – Bibit (Malindo Group), Super Unggas Jaya (CJPIA Group), Hybro (Manggis Group), Taat Indah Bersinar, Expravet (Mabar Group), Wonokoyo and CP Group.

“We are thrilled to be back in Indonesia to talk about the new Cobb MV,” said Dr. Steve Bolden, Cobb director of the World Tech Support Team. “The MV has proven performance in different climates, including tropical climates like Indonesia.”

With Dr. Bolden were three other members of his team — hatchery specialist Steve Tweed, broiler and ventilation specialist Andrew Bourne, and breeder specialist Cody Polley.

The Cobb Asia technical team was led by Dr. Orlando Fernandez, director of technical support for the region, who said: “Comparing to MX, this new male is showing improved livability, hatchability and feed conversion. We have seen the difference across all markets and the Cobb MV performs substantially better.”

Breeder specialist Dr. Alvin Arucan, broiler specialist Dr Raul Lopez and key account technical service manager Amin Suyono shared their knowledge on how best to manage the flocks.

“At the end of day, we want to help our customers achieve better performance,” said Sandy Irawan, key account manager for Cobb Asia. “By sharing our technical expertise, we are helping our customers to capture the full genetic potential of this new bird.”
