Cargill completes acquisition of Southern States' feed business

Cargill has closed on its agreement to acquire the animal feed business of Southern States Cooperative Inc. The deal was announced in early August and closed on September 22. Under the agreement, Cargill purchased the assets of Southern States Cooperative's animal feed business, including seven feed mills and its portfolio of products, brands and customer and supplier relationships.

 

DSM to acquire Dutch animal nutrition company Twilmij

Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, will acquire Twilmij B.V., a well-established Dutch nutritional solutions company in the animal feed sector.

 

Post Holdings to acquire Bob Evans Farms

Post Holdings has agreed to acquire Bob Evans Farms for $77 per share or about $1.5 billion.

 

BioMar completes acquisition of Alimentsa

BioMar has completed its acquisition of Alimentsa, initially announced in June. All necessary approvals have now been obtained and Alimentsa will be a part of BioMar Group, effective September 13. Cargill expands animal nutrition business in Thailand

Cargill's animal feed and nutrition business is expanding its capabilities in Thailand by acquiring a feed mill in Prachinburi province in Thailand. This feed mill, established in 1996 through a joint venture between Sri Thai Foods and Beverages Co. Ltd. and Thai-Denmark Swine Breeding Co. Ltd., produces poultry and swine feed.

 

L. B. White Company announces ownership transition

Pilgrim's has acquired Moy Park, a leading poultry and prepared foods supplier with operations in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe, from JBS S.A. The transaction, valuing the equity interest of at approximately US$1.0 billion (or approximately GBP790 million based on a 1.31 exchange rate as of September 8, 2017), implying an enterprise value of approximately US$1.3 billion (GBP1 billion), was announced on September 11.

Shares of DuPont and Dow ceased trading at the close of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Aug.
