Tenth annual Animal Agriculture Sustainability Summit returning to IPPE

Reflecting the continuing importance of sustainability to the future of animal agriculture, the 10th Animal Agriculture Sustainability Summit is returning to the 2018 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.

Reflecting the continuing importance of sustainability to the future of animal agriculture, the 10th Animal Agriculture Sustainability Summit is returning to the 2018 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta. The summit, sponsored by the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY), will focus on current sustainability topics relevant to the animal agriculture industry. This half-day program will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, and is free for all registered IPPE attendees.

Topics to be discussed include: A Review of Top Sustainability Concerns for the Animal Agriculture Industry; Meeting Growing Global Pork Demand Sustainably; U.S. Roundtable for Sustainable Beef: Gaining Momentum; Advancing Dairy’s Sustainability Framework for a Changing Global Landscape; A Broiler Production Model for Estimating Environmental Footprint; and a panel discussion. The summit will conclude with a ceremony announcing the winners of USPOULTRY’s Family Farm Environmental Excellence Awards for 2018.

IPPE, the world's largest annual poultry, feed and meat industry trade show, will be held Jan. 30 – Feb. 1, 2018. IPPE is a collaboration of three trade shows—the International Feed Expo, International Poultry Expo and International Meat Expo—representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The event is sponsored by USPOULTRY, the American Feed Industry Association and the North American Meat Institute.
