The Animal Agriculture Alliance embarked on its third Giving Tuesday campaign this year to harness the power of a global day of giving. Forty-one donors gave more than $21,000 to show their support for animal agriculture. Thanks to Cooper Farms matching funds up to $5,000 and Cattle Empire pledging to match donations from $5,001 up to $10,000, the Alliance reached more than $30,000 in Giving Tuesday contributions.

“We are thrilled with the unprecedented amount of support from people who believe in the Alliance’s mission,” said Kay Johnson Smith, Alliance president and CEO. “We are now well on our way to reaching our 2017 year-end giving contribution goal of $35,000 and hope people will continue to give throughout the holiday season as they are able.”

Donations support the College Aggies Online program, which helps to prepare students to become lifelong advocates for agriculture. Contributions also support the Alliance’s continuous work to share information about modern animal agriculture through media relations, social media, its Advances in Animal Ag report and much more.

The Alliance provides a united voice on behalf of all of animal agriculture, including beef, dairy, poultry, pork, sheep and veal producers with the mission of bridging the communication gap between farm and fork.
