Maple Leaf Farms recently presented Colbert Packaging with its 2017 Supplier of the Year award. The award is designed to recognize an organization that helps the company grow and better manage its business.

“Suppliers who are reliable and supportive of our high-quality standards and processes are invaluable to our business,” said Chief Operating Officer Scott Reinholt. “Colbert Packaging has been a partner with Maple Leaf Farms for more than 20 years. During this time, they have consistently met our specifications and been responsive to our changing needs.”

This is the second year that Maple Leaf Farms has awarded its Supplier of the Year award. During the presentation at Colbert Packaging's Elkhart, Indiana, facility, Maple Leaf Farms Co-President Scott Tucker presented the award to Colbert Packaging General Manager of Elkhart Operations Tim Price. Staff members at the location attended the awards ceremony and hosted a facility tour for the Maple Leaf Farms representatives in attendance.

“Colbert Packaging is a key supplier for retail packaging for both our duck and chicken lines, making their on-time performance critical to our success,” said Reinholt. “Their willingness to work with raw material vendors to reduce input cost, change set up times and adjust run sizes to meet our needs is invaluable.”
