USPOULTRY Human Resources Seminar to address key areas affecting the workplace

Each year, U.S. Poultry& Egg Association’s (USPOULTRY) Human Resources Seminar offers insight to help HR managers better understand current policies and presents information and techniques to stay ahead of trends that poultry industry human resources professionals face. This year’s seminar will be held April 23-25, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Fla.

Human resources professionals have a lot on their plates, as laws and regulations change quickly and often vary from state to state. Recruitment and retention, ensuring proper training, and handling day-to-day employment issues are only a part of their responsibilities. Each year, U.S. Poultry & Egg Association’s (USPOULTRY) Human Resources Seminar offers insight to help HR managers better understand current policies and presents information and techniques to stay ahead of trends that poultry industry human resources professionals face. This year’s seminar will be held April 23-25, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Destin, Fla.

The seminar agenda, developed by an industry committee of knowledgeable and experienced human resources professionals, will include the following topics: A Washington Update; Harassment in the Workplace – An Interactive Case Study; Auditing the Human Resources Process; Workplace Safety in Today’s World; Legal Issues/Guidelines for Using Alternative Communications Methods; and more. A series of roundtable breakout sessions are also part of the agenda, addressing topics such as Combating Document Fraud; Human Resources as a Strategic Partner; Creative Ways of Recruiting and Retaining Technical Employees; and Practical Considerations of Outsourcing.
