Feed Energy announced on March 5 that for the seventh consecutive year it is offering two $2,500 “Excellence in Ag” scholarships to students studying agriculture at a college or university in the Midwest.

Recipients will include one undergraduate student and one graduate student. Interested students can find more information and apply for the scholarship at http://www.feedenergy.com/resource-center/for-students/.

The application deadline is May 7, 2018. To be eligible students must meet specific requirements, including attending a college or university in one of the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota or South Dakota. They must have an agriculture-related major, be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student, and have a 3.0 to 4.0 GPA.

The two scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their resume, references, and a two-page essay. “Attracting the best and brightest students into agriculture – a most noble profession – is our goal,” said Robert G. Riley Jr., Chairman of the Board. “These scholarships expose students to the universe of possibilities in the agricultural industry. Unleashing innovation and talent into this space will return dividends to the industry and to Iowa many times over.”
