FDA approves KemTRACE

Manufactured by Kemin Industries, KemTRACE is the only chromium source that has been approved by the FDA.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of KemTRACE Chromium Propionate as a source of chromium for cattle. 

KemTRACE Chromium Propionate is also approved for use in swine in the U.S. Chromium Propionate allows cattle to utilize energy efficiently by increasing insulin action, thereby promoting intracellular glucose uptake (Sumner et al., 2007).
