The Poultry Science Association Foundation (PSA Foundation) is pleased and honored to announce the establishment of an endowed scholarship to support qualified poultry science undergraduate students in the Department of Poultry Science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University. The scholarship is intended to support a rising junior who has chosen Poultry Science as their field of study and has an expressed interest in graduate education for the M.S. and Ph.D. This Tribute Endowed Scholarship is in memory of Dr. Gardner for his vision as he mentored 8 graduate students who have become leaders in the food industry and the academic community.
Leadership in the effort was provided by Dr. Gardner’s family and Drs. Hershell R. Ball, Jr. (and wife Kay), Louis L. Young, James Denton, William Merka, Ping-Lieh T. Wang, Patricia A. Curtis, Amy Gilbert and Fernando Gomez-Gonzalez.
