Tyson Foods suspended production at its poultry processing plant in Temperanceville, Virginia, for maintenance purposes.

According to an email from Worth Sparkman, Tyson Foods senior public relations manager, the facility was taken off line on May 21, but normal operations were to resume on the following day.

Tyson Foods, according to the WATTAgNet Top Poultry Companies Database, is the largest broiler company in the United States. In 2017, the company processed 174.8 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken.
