A man driving a truck carrying chickens for Pilgrim’s Pride died as a result of injuries sustained from a traffic accident in Coffee County, Alabama.
According to a report from WTVY, Willard Leon Haynes Jr., of Samson, Alabama, was traveling on Highway 134, about 8 miles east of the community of Opp, when his truck struck several trees and flipped. The accident took place around 2 p.m. on June 7.
The wreck caused the load of chickens to be spilled.
Traffic was diverted for several hours while the accident scene was cleared.
