Wayne Farms’ workers test negative for TB

Another round of tests to follow in two months.

None of the 31 workers at Albertville's Wayne Farms poultry plant has tested positive for tuberculosis, according to Huntsville.com. An employee at the plant was diagnosed with active TB last month.

Pam Barrett, director of the Alabama Department of Public Health's Division of TB Control, said the test results were "all normal."

Another round of skin tests will be carried out on the workers in two months as it can take eight to 10 weeks before TB will create a positive test result.
