Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus announced that grain production of agricultural economies exceeded 7.3 million metric tons as of August 21, according to a news report.
On the same date in 2008, grain production volumes were 8.1 million metric tons.
Agricultural organizations harvested grains and leguminous plants (without maize) on 1.93 million hectares, or 83.8% of the planned harvesting areas.
