Having worked as herd manager on the family farm, his understanding of both the financial and animal sides of the business serves him well for understanding the needs of fellow producers.

In fact, in his most recent job role with Compeer Financial, Franta supported farmers by developing budgets for all aspects of farm operations including extensive research into the profit and loss of implementing robotic milking systems. His desire and ability to help producers optimize their budget and herd performance will help him communicate the value of key TechMix products such as Bovine BlueLite, BlueLite Replenish M and the new nutrient-rich transition cow bolus, YMCP Vitall. Richard graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications with an agricultural emphasis, and a minor in dairy. He followed school by employment as an on-farm production manager, then various roles in banking and finance. Along with his education and farming background, he has perspective few others can match and will be able to offer consultation to producers on herd, financial and management concerns.

“Placing Richard in the heart of the Wisconsin dairy market will be a huge win for us and the dairy market,” says Mike Nelson, TechMix Global President. “His background will be really valuable in this market climate where, more than ever, producers are looking for value and the kind of ROI our products can deliver.”

Richard also has work experience with Elanco/Sedona where he focused on product launches, helped develop vaccination protocols, promoted fresh cow health, and strategized educational programs that helped farmers more effectively use products.
