Third-generation family-owned and -operated meat company, Strauss Brands, is proud to welcome new livestock manager, Mackenzie Waro, as it looks to expand its pre-certified network of 100 percent grass fed and grass finished beef producers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Strauss is dedicated to sourcing all-natural, chef-quality meat. Driven by a commitment to environmental stewardship and improved welfare for livestock, Strauss works hand-in-hand with family farmers to adhere to stringent raising practices. The result is delicious, flavorful grass fed beef the whole family can enjoy.

"Our family has proudly supported American family farmers for more than 80 years," shared Randy Strauss, third-generation owner-operator, of Strauss Brands. "The unprecedented growth of the Strauss Free Raised grass fed beef program is a testament to the need for high-quality, American-raised grass fed beef and the growing consumer interest in ethical and sustainable eating."

Program-qualified cattle must be 100 percent grass fed and grass finished, raised without the use of antibiotics or growth-promoting hormones, have English-based genetics (with a preference for Angus, Red Angus and Hereford crosses). Market-ready cattle must be 30 months and younger. Strauss Brands is a bonded Packers and Stockyards buyer, and is currently seeking year-round deliveries for local processing in the northeast.

Strauss is searching for like-minded family farmers and ranchers committed to raising their animals with the same passion and ethical standards.

If a producer would like to receive more information or set up an on-farm visit, they should call Mackenzie Waro, Strauss Livestock Manager (607-287-1292) or email ([email protected]).
