Cranswick has been recognized as an industry leader for its projects on food waste and food redistribution at the Waste2zero Award ceremony which took place at St James's Square in London.

Food waste remains one of the biggest challenges facing the food and hospitality industry, therefore to be recognized as a major food production business to win this award is a monumental achievement.

Cranswick was announced as a winner of the 'Best Waste Prevention Project Award' highlighting examples of its food waste mapping exercises at each of its sites, as well as tackling household food waste by the promotion and sponsorship of the food sharing app OLIO in its native city of Hull.

As runners up in the “Food Redistribution Award” Cranswick received specific recognition for its community initiatives such as Olio and support of food banks and food poverty related charities in and around Hull.
