ZhengChang Group, one of China’s oldest and largest manufacturers of feed machinery, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2018.
October 18 marked the 100-year anniversary of ZhengChang Group, which was originally founded in 1918 as an edible oil producer. The company has grown rapidly in the past few decades, expanding from feed machinery manufacturing into sectors such as silo engineering, food processing equipment and storage, animal feed, oil and real estate. The integrated enterprise now owns subsidiaries specializing in grain machinery, turn-key projects, equipment parts and oil.
In addition to the contributions to the formulation of 30 national standards and industry standards, ZhengChang also undertook 40 national science and technology projects and “China Torch Programs” and was granted more than 700 national patents in total.
“In the past 100 years of development, we have been concentrating on the research and development of feed and storage equipment. Now we have more than 10 facilities specializing in the research and production. Our core is to make constant innovations and create values for our customers,” said Hao Bo, chairman and president of Jiangsu ZhengChang Group Co. Ltd., in a speech at the company’s anniversary celebration. “In 1973, we successfully developed China’s first pellet mill. In 2013, our self-developed 1208 pellet mill, which had the largest production capacity in China and ranked the third in Europe passed the national appraisal.”
As an integrated solution provider, ZhengChang Group has provided more than 9,300 pelletizers for 65 percent of the domestic feed companies and built more than 3,300 high-quality turn-key feed projects in more than 80 countries and regions across the world.
Since 1992, the company has built quite a great number of feed projects for Tyson Foods, Cargill, CJ Group, CP Group, ADM, Continental Grain, New Hope, Wen’s Group, Haid Group, etc., with services covering complete equipment for livestock and poultry feed production, aquafeed production and renewable energy source production, etc.
Based on its strength in the domestic market, ZhengChang founded ZhengChang International Machinery Engineering Co. Ltd. in 2008 to tap into the global market. And in response to the national “Belt and Road Initiative,” the company moved on to set up one subsidiary in Brazil, securing its foothold in South America.
ZhengChang Group also invited its international customers and representatives from the press for a tour of its feed machinery workshops as well as one of the projects ZhengChang constructed as a model of its feed engineering service. The company also highlighted key moments in its history by hosting a centennial celebration in Liyang, Jiangsu province.
