Sondra Bernstein’s recipe for bucatini with sweet turkey sausage snagged her the title of the final Turkey Trendsetter of 2009, from the National Turkey Federation.

Her recipe is available at, and uses bucatini pasta, sweet turkey sausage, garlic, broccoli rabe and red pepper flakes.

Turkey Trendsetter showcases chefs who have incorporated turkey dishes in creative and unique ways.  


“Bernstein’s ability to incorporate turkey on to each of her menus and in various day parts highlights what a perfect canvas turkey can be,” said Sherrie Rosenblatt, NTF’s vice president, marketing and communications.
