Cargill to increase Romanian feed mill capacity

Mixing equipment will be upgraded; a new pelleting line will be added to the Sura Mica plant.

Cargill Animal Nutrition has announced a project to increase production capacity of its feed mill in Romania by 50,000 metric tons per year, with a scheduled completion date of mid-2010.

The Sura Mica site near the town of Sibiu has been operated by Cargill since its acquisition of LNB International Feed in 2007. It produces premixes and concentrates as well as compounds.

Under the terms of the new investment, it will receive an extra production line for complete feeds within the premix plant and a warehouse extension for bagged products. The mixing equipment will also be upgraded and a new pelleting line will be added.
