Prime Equipment Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new technology partnership aimed at integrating next-generation vision, robotics, real-time reporting and product-handling technologies into the company's equipment offerings, providing processors with robust, powerful next-generation processing solutions that increase efficiency and save labor.

Prime Equipment Group is partnering with DCM, a Spain-based innovator with a proven track record of robotics, vision, reporting and full automation expertise spanning multiple meat processing industries to bring automated, intelligent solutions to processors in the North and Latin American markets.

Working together to combine smart, forward-thinking, next-generation technologies with Prime's "Simple Solutions" design philosophy, the partnership is aimed at advanced processing solutions that are hard-working, robust and intelligent - including the all-new "Smart Labor" line of super-efficient product-handling systems.

Customers can get a look at some of the new technologies at the Prime Equipment Group Booth (B6317) at the International Production and Processing Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta Feb. 12-14.

"These days, processors rely more and more on advanced technologies like vision and robotics to save labor and preserve yields--and to provide real-time feedback on process efficiencies," said Prime Equipment Group CEO Mike Gasbarro. "Prime has always been on the forefront of innovation, and this partnership is aimed at keeping us there by providing the intelligent, but simple and hard-working solutions that Prime customers expect. The idea is to not add technology for technology's sake, but to increase the effectiveness of key processes where it makes the most sense."

DCM will be a technology partner providing technical support, engineering and expertise on custom-developed machines, as well as complete systems for product handling in North America and other markets, including Latin America, said DCM President Jose Tobias.

"Prime Equipment Group is well known in the USA as an innovator, and DCM is well-positioned to bring our intelligent systems to new markets by working together," Tobias said. "It's a good fit, and we look forward to working with Prime, and meeting and talking with processors at this year's IPPE in Atlanta."

DCM is a complete solutions provider for protein producers in Europe, offering custom and off-the shelf robotic product handling for maximum flexibility with minimal labor as well as custom-engineered individual line solutions, and electronic, real-time feedback on process efficiencies. The partnership with Prime, through the parent company and DCM-TM USA, will work to apply the company's technology to the poultry industry.
