OSI's Mark Richardson joins University of Illinois ACES committee

Mark Richardson, senior vice president, Global Supply Chain for OSI Group, LLC has joined the recently established International Programs Advisory Committee for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois.

Mark Richardson, senior vice president, Global Supply Chain for OSI Group, LLC has joined the recently established International Programs Advisory Committee for the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois.

The ACES International Programs Advisory Committee consists of individuals who are committed to improving the impact of teaching, research and public engagement in ACES through international activities. Richardson, who leads OSI’s global supply chain organization, as well as OSI’s businesses in both Australia and India, will initially serve a three-year term, providing advice and support to help identify opportunities and set priorities for the college’s research, outreach, partnership development and other initiatives.

“I am pleased to be joining this committee for the College of ACES at the University of Illinois, to support its international portfolio,” Richardson said. “OSI is thankful for our partnership with the university, which we believe is educating the next generation of our workforce.  We are fortunate to have hired a number of talented graduates from the University of Illinois for positions in OSI’s management trainee and internship programs. I am happy to bring insights from OSI’s businesses around the world to support ACES and help chart its way forward.”

Richardson, an Australian, joined OSI in 2000 as purchasing manager for OSI Australia. In 2004 he was promoted to supply chain director for the company’s Asia Pacific zone. After relocating to the U.S. in 2009 he became vice president, Global Supply Chain. He currently serves as senior vice president, Global Supply Chain and managing director of the company’s businesses in Australia and India.

Richardson received his MBA from Northwestern University–Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and his undergraduate degree in Meat Science from Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.
